Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process with patients and families throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans with the care team, maintaining safety culture and accurate EHR documentation, and potentially floating to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; others may be required based on specialty.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
