Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care during cardiology patients’ stays, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program and Iowa RN licensure, with preferred acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Previous experience in acute care preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including flexibility with daily starting and ending times.
• Must have proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social and education needs.
• Evaluate and document patient/family responses to nursing interventions with the interdisciplinary team.
• Guide and direct patient care activities using clinical/critical thinking.
• Attend departmental/organizational meetings, inservices and educational opportunities.
• Maintain certification/licensure requirements and adapt to changing healthcare environment.
