Job summary

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center West Des Moines is recruiting a Research RN to provide professional nursing care and enroll/monitor adults in Clinical Research studies. Under direction, you will follow established standards and practices to support patients and study teams.

Schedule: Full time 40 hours a week 8:00-4:30 No Weekends or Holidays. Required include Iowa RN licensure, BLS, and cardiac care experience; travel to Iowa Heart offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa RN license or compact required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Minimum 3 years of RN nursing experience.
• CCU/ICU or cardiac care preferred.
• BLS certification required by orientation end.
• Must complete mandatory reporter training within 3 months.
• Cardiac Arrhythmia class within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate protocol to obtain informed consents.
• Prepare IRB submissions and correspondence.
• Serve as liaison across sites with staff and sponsors.
• Document all study activities and data.
• Schedule and coordinate patient visits and tests.
• Ensure safety data review and HIPAA compliance.
• Travel to Iowa Heart offices as needed.
