Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our cardiology program. The role involves delivering diagnostic evaluations and ongoing psychotherapy for heart failure patients within a multidisciplinary team.

The psychologist will split time between acute and ambulatory settings, conducting evaluations for LVAD patients, providing crisis de-escalation and emotional wellness support, and contributing to program growth through team-based planning and post-event

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD/EdD in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid North Carolina psychology license.
• Experience in hospital/medical setting and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy for heart failure patients.
• Conduct pre- and post-psychological evaluations for LVAD patients.
• Support LVAD and advanced heart failure patients and emotional wellness visits.
• Collaborate with cardiology team to address psychosocial and system issues.
