OSF HealthCare's Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a General Cardiologist to join their team. This role involves providing patient-centered care, teaching future Cardiologists, and working in a major teaching hospital. OSF Healthcare's Cardiovascular Institute, a group of over 40 Cardiologists serving the central Midwest, is seeking to add a General Cardiologist to their expanding practice.
The ideal candidate will have an academic background in Cardiovascular Disease and enjoy teaching future Cardiologists.
The OSF Cardiovascular Service Line collaborates with 17 hospitals and 9 clinics to provide comprehensive services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.
Our services include CV surgery, MCS, Transplant, Aortic Center, Structural Heart, Advanced HF, Cardio One, Cardio OB, and we handle over 300 STEMI cases annually.
This position covers OSF Saint Francis Heart Hospital, with over 30 years of experience in heart disease treatment using advanced technologies. The total patient catchment area is 1.2 million. Currently, the hospital reads and interprets more than 15,000 echoes and 4,500 stress tests annually.
OSF owns and operates its own helicopter services.
The role involves being an integral part of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria's Cardiology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency programs.
Call schedule includes 1-2 weeknights per month (Monday through Thursday) and 8-9 weekends per year.
The full-time, clinical base salary ranges from $530,000 to $582,082. This range is an estimate and may be influenced by experience, qualifications, community needs, and other factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses or incentives.
With 642 beds, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is Illinois' fourth-largest hospital. It is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. It is the area's only Level I Trauma Center and home to Children’s Hospital of Illinois and the Illinois Neurological Institute. The hospital has held Magnet Status for nursing excellence since 2004.
