Outstanding opportunity for a Cardiologist with Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology training. Join OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute, a group of 30 Cardiologists, and be an integral part of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria Cardiology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency. Minimal call shared with a large collegial group and supported by cardiology fellows.
Our Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team is based at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, a high-volume quaternary referral center with 642 beds, offering:
- Comprehensive Advanced Heart Failure program with a fully staffed inpatient service and high-volume outpatient clinic
- CMS Certified Heart Transplant Program with growth potential
- CMS Certified LVAD Program with HeartMate 3 implants
- ACGME Certified Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship with 9 general cardiology fellows and structured rotations for residents and medical students
- Regional Cardiogenic Shock referral center with surgical and interventional temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support services
- ELSO Certified Gold Level ECMO Program (VA and VV)
- Robust Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease programs
- High-volume Electrophysiology with expertise in VT ablation
Salary range: $470,000 - $550,082, with additional compensation components possible based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
- Medical license in current state
- Board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
- Medical staff membership and privileges
- Eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs
- Malpractice coverage qualifications
- DEA and Illinois narcotics prescribing license, if applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent clinical experience at a large academic center
- Ability to provide patient-centered care
