Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL. The ideal candidate will be Cardiac Fellowship trained or have demonstrated proficiency with TEE.

Highlights of Opportunity:

• Anesthesia Care Team model with 9 Anesthesiologists (3 CV and 6 General) and 22 CRNAs, covering 12 ORs, EP Lab, Cath Lab, and Endo. Supervision of CRNAs at a ratio of 1:4.
• Diverse case mix including Trauma, Cardiac, Heavy Ortho, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Bariatric, Robotics. No Pediatric or OB cases.
• Average surgical volume of 9,000 cases annually.
• Approximately 250 open heart surgeries, including Cath lab and EP procedures, close to 730 annually.
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, AVR/MVR/TVR, AAA repair, Mitral Clips, Watchman, and Atrial Fibrillation procedures. Aortic dissections are rare.
• Work schedule averages 50 hours per week. Cardiac call is 1:3 from home via beeper, with one weekend per month. Additional calls are compensated. Response time is 30 minutes.
• Hearts are usually performed solo but may include a CRNA.
