Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of cardiovascular or phlebotomy experience; EEG experience is preferred, and BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One (1) year Cardiovascular or Phlebotomy experience is required.
• EEG experience is preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect inpatient and outpatient care including phlebotomy and ECG testing.
• Verify patient identification using two identifiers (Name, DOB or Medical Record Number).
• Label specimens in front of patient with required information (EMR ID, date and time).
• Draw blood safely with minimal trauma and monitor for adverse effects.
• Adhere to safety standards and use PPE. Maintain specimen/test requirements and reference materials.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve unusual test orders and communicate with staff/management.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper charging and return of supplies/equipment.
• Provide patient transport between service areas and utilize healthcare IT applications as assigned.
