Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner to join the Cardiology Clinic in Chapel Hill. The CPP will support cardiology care, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and related therapies, while mentoring students and residents.

The role offers an academic appointment commensurate with experience and a hybrid work arrangement. Applicants should have PGY2 cardiology or ambulatory care training or equivalent experience and NC Pharmacist licensure.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a PharmD or BS Pharmacy with NC licensure in good standing.
• PGY2 cardiology/ambulatory care residency preferred or equivalent experience.
• Board certification in Cardiology or Ambulatory Care or Pharmacotherapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a clinical practice in the UNC Cardiology Clinic and collaborates with physicians and nurses to manage patient care.
• Precepts and mentors pharmacy students and residents on experiential rotations and scholarly activities.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and develops new clinical programs within the clinic/department.
