Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for an overnight shift (11p-7a) with weekend and holiday rotation, working 16 hours per week. Under RN supervision, you will provide hands-on patient care, assist with daily living activities, mobility, and basic procedures, while documenting observations to support safe unit operations.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support patients with nutritional needs, hydration, and elimination as directed by the RN.
• Observe and report patient status and care progress to the RN.
• Prepare patients and environments for procedures and ensure safety.
