Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join WakeMed Physician Practices in North Carolina. The role requires delivering competent medical care under supervision and providing daily rounds, referrals, and patient follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, complete clinic notes, discharge summaries, and participate in pre/post procedure care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
• DEA required.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in PA; or Bachelor’s + Master’s in Nursing.
• 1 year clinical PA/NP experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient rounds and inpatient/outpatient care as assigned.
• Complete referrals, consults, clinic notes, discharge summaries, and pre/post procedures.
• Prescribe medications and follow up on patient care.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM/DO students as part of teaching responsibilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team under supervision of Medical Director and APP Manager.
