Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Eligible for or able to obtain licensure in Vermont.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Assist in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs, laboratory studies, and imaging as appropriate.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide patient education regarding heart health, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Assist with follow-up care and chronic disease management.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
