  • Eligibility for Vermont medical license and strong clinical/communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
  • Perform and interpret tests such as stress tests and echocardiograms
  • Manage outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations
  • Develop patient treatment plans and preventive strategies

Position Overview

The Cardiologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves working closely with primary care providers and other specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions
  • Perform and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic tests such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring
  • Manage outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations as needed
  • Develop and implement patient treatment plans and preventive care strategies
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, risk factors, and lifestyle management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives

General Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible inCardiology
  • Completion of an accreditedInternal Medicineresidency program
  • Completion of an accreditedCardiovascular Disease fellowship
  • Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
