Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Cardiology team. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care to adult patients (18 years and older) with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have a background or experience in cardiology and must hold current ACLS certification. We welcome new graduates, particularly those with previous experience in Emergency Department or ICU settings, who demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and a passion for cardiac care.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialty/Invasive Physician Assistant (PA) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive PA will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Works in any of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current ACLS/BLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.

*Nurse Practitioner (NP):
*Graduate of an accredited NP program
*Certified by a national body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g. ANCC, AANP)
*Physician Assistant (PA):
*Graduate of a PA accredited PA program
*Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensure & Credentialing:
*Current licensure (or proof of application) as an NP or PA in the State of Michigan
*National certification (NP or PA)
*Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Required
*Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required
*DEA license and Controlled Substance License (CSL) - Required for PA; NP applicants must submit Michigan license number in place of CSL during credentialing
*Eligible for credentialing within the organization
Preferred Experience:
*Cardiology background or experience preferred.
*Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system, preferred
