Job summary

Bay Area Cardiology Associates in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a large cardiovascular practice. You will work across outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings, serving a diverse patient population and collaborating with cardiologists and experienced APPs.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP (ACNP/AGACNP) or PA with Florida license.
• Minimum 2 years APP experience; 3+ preferred.
• Experience in cardiology or acute/critical care is a plus.
• Willingness to work in multiple Tampa-area locations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, hospital rounding, and inpatient consults.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, lab tests, imaging, and stress tests.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Manage medications, referrals, and patient education.
• Participate in cardiovascular care across multiple subspecialties as the practice grows.
• Option to work in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview or Sun City Center.

Job description

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the Tampa Bay area.

This position offers the opportunity to work across both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings while caring for a diverse cardiovascular patient population. You'll collaborate with an established team of cardiologists and experienced APPs, gaining exposure to general cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, vascular disease, and other cardiovascular subspecialties. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a shared weekend rotation approximately once per month.

Providers may choose their primary office location from our Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center clinics.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP or Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care NP preferred) or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience required
• 3+ years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience preferred
• Experience may be from any specialty
• Cardiology, acute care, critical care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine experience is a plus
• Interest in cardiovascular medicine
