Bay Area Cardiology Associates in the Tampa Bay area seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established cardiovascular team. The position combines outpatient clinic work with inpatient hospital rounding and consults, with multiple office locations including Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center.

Applicants should be board-certified, hold an active Florida license, and bring 2+ years of APP experience, preferably in cardiology or acute care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
• Cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP certification preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
• Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient cardiovascular consultations
• Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress tests, and other diagnostic testing
• Develop and manage treatment plans with the cardiology team
• Manage medications and coordinate specialty referrals
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and cardiovascular health
• Participate in the shared weekend coverage rotation

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Tampa Bay, Florida | Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established cardiovascular team in the Tampa Bay area.

This full-time position combines outpatient cardiology with inpatient hospital responsibilities. The incoming APP may select a primary office location in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center and will collaborate with cardiologists and advanced practice providers across several cardiovascular specialties.

Position Highlights
