Job summary

Bay Area Cardiology Associates in the Tampa Bay area seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its cardiovascular team. The role blends outpatient cardiology with inpatient hospital responsibilities, with a primary office in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview or Sun City Center.

You will collaborate with cardiologists and other APPs, manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, perform consultations, order tests, and help develop treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP or PA with active Florida license.
• Minimum of two years of APP experience.
• Cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
• Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient cardiovascular consultations
• Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress tests, and other diagnostic testing
• Develop and manage treatment plans with the cardiology team
• Manage medications and coordinate specialty referrals
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and cardiovascular health
• Participate in the shared weekend coverage rotation

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Tampa Bay, Florida | Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established cardiovascular team in the Tampa Bay area.

This full-time position combines outpatient cardiology with inpatient hospital responsibilities. The incoming APP may select a primary office location in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center and will collaborate with cardiologists and advanced practice providers across several cardiovascular specialties.

Position Highlights

• Choice of primary office in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center

• Monday–Friday schedule

• Shared weekend rotation approximately once per month

• Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital care

• Collaboration with experienced cardiologists and APPs

• Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting

• Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider

• Cardiology, hospital medicine, or acute care experience strongly preferred

• Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP certification preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
