Job summary

Catawba Valley Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver patient-centered care under physician supervision. The role includes taking history, performing exams, diagnosing, and planning treatment while interpreting laboratory results as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements: graduate of accredited nursing and NP programs; current NC license; ACLS/PALS or BCLS within 3 months. Preferred: Family or Specialty NP certification and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current NC license.
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment date.
• Work experience: proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
• Two or more years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image.
• Performs history and physical examinations, diagnoses, and therapeutic treatment regimens under the supervision of a practicing physician; interprets lab results.
• Utilizes a team-based approach to all tasks.
