Job summary

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) in Atlanta, GA, seeks a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiology team. You will assess, diagnose, and manage care in collaboration with cardiologists, prescribing therapies and educating patients while ensuring continuity of care.

This PRN/Per Diem/Pool role offers opportunities for growth within a physician-led, integrated care model and a supportive multidisciplinary environment in the Atlanta metro area.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Georgia RN license.
• Active Georgia APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• NPI and Medicare/Medicaid eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Prescribe medications and therapies per state guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and prevention.
• Document encounters in HealthConnect EMR accurately.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up for cardiovascular conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and guideline development.
