Job summary

Columbus Cardiology Associates, in Columbus, GA, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team. The role blends outpatient cardiology with shared inpatient responsibilities and physician mentorship.

You’ll work with six experienced cardiologists, participate in rounds, and benefit from hands-on onboarding, ongoing training, and a supportive practice environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current board certification or eligibility for certification, as applicable.
• Active Georgia license or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong interest in cardiology and cardiovascular disease management.
• Cardiology experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduate NPs and PAs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct outpatient follow‑up visits and support ongoing patient care.
• Participate in inpatient cardiology care and hospital rounding as needed.
• Review diagnostic testing and develop treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Educate patients about their conditions, medications and cardiovascular health.
• Work closely with cardiologists, APPs, nurses and other care team members.
