Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing Cardiology team supporting both Electrophysiology (EP) and Interventional Cardiology services in a high-acuity setting. Work with 4 experienced Cardiology APPs in a team-based model.

The role includes a blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with mentorship and structured onboarding to support professional growth in EP and interventional care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Iowa licensure eligibility.
• Cardiology experience preferred; strong acute care/internal medicine backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in clinic and hospital settings.
• Support EP and Interventional services including arrhythmia management and post-procedure care (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab cases).
• Perform rounding, consults, and follow-up care; educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle changes.
