Stony Brook University School of Medicine invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the division of Cardiology. The position is based at Southampton, Center Moriches and Hampton Bays sites and involves clinical evaluations, diagnostic procedures, and patient counseling under physician supervision.

The role requires NYS licensure as a PA or NP, with a Master's level nursing degree for NP and a Bachelor's for PA, and at least one year of clinical experience

Qualifications

• NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant; Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited school of Physician Assistants.
• NYS license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner; Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a course for a Nurse Practitioner.
• At least one year of clinical experience; previous cardiology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform clinical evaluations of patients including histories, physical examinations and laboratory testing.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Counsel and advise patients and their families.
