Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Cartersville, GA. This full-time APP will deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care across Harbin Clinic Cartersville Cardiology, nearby Piedmont Medical Center and CHF Clinic, with a roughly even split between clinic and hospital/CHF settings.

The role includes rotating weekend/holiday coverage, no-call requirements, and collaboration with a multi-site cardiology team.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Cardiology knowledge or experience preferred, including familiarity with cardiovascular disease, cardiac testing, procedures, and medications
• Ability to work collaboratively across clinic and hospital environments
• Formal education, licensure, certification, and experience requirements are to be confirmed

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, education and follow-up for patients with cardiovascular disease across office, hospital and CHF Clinic.
• Remain current on hospital workflows to support seamless coverage across locations during PTO and staff absences
• Identify, evaluate, prevent and treat cardiovascular disease
• Collaborate with the medical team to promote patient safety and coordinated care
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation, heart monitors, and lab results; EKG training available if needed
• Maintain accurate medical records within 24–48 hours of visits
• Educate patients and families and assist staff with patient issues and emergencies
