Desert Cardiology & Vascular Center in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiovascular team. You will collaborate with cardiologists to evaluate, educate, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is clinically confident, well-organized, and capable of handling medically complex patients while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or eligible Nevada APRN and RN licenses.
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• DEA registration and Nevada prescribing authority.
• Cardiology/related clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while independently managing an assigned patient schedule.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and patient education skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history and physical exams.
• Provide follow-up care for established cardiology patients.
• Evaluate and manage hypertension, CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and PVD.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Review results and communicate findings to patients.
• Manage cardiovascular medications and reconciliation.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate care with the team.
• Respond to questions and clinical messages in a timely manner.
