Job description

Non-Invasive Cardiology Opening, Central Illinois

Clinical Role:

1. Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible non-invasive cardiologist.
2. Join a growing heart and vascular program with a team of 4 general cardiologists, 3 interventional cardiologists, 1 electrophysiologist, 1 CV surgeon, and 4 APPs.
3. Training in advanced imaging will be given special consideration, but is not required.
4. Rotating clinic coverage Mon-Fri.
5. Call is 1 weekend/month, with potential for 2 weekends depending on coverage needs.
6. Cover hospitalist service with support from an established hospitalist program.
7. Modern, state-of-the-art facility in a 200-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
8. Must be able to perform some invasive work, including TEE's.
9. Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation, if desired.
10. Recognized as a national leader in quality of care, ranked in the top 10% in the nation for cardiac surgery, and best in the region for cardiac care and surgery.
11. Five-star rated for bypass surgery, treatment of heart attacks, and heart failure.
12. Facilities include a newly renovated open-heart suite and ongoing expansion of cardiac cath lab suites.
