Job description

Position: Non-Invasive Cardiologist at CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine

The Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Institute for Academic Medicine (IAM) is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified non-invasive cardiologist to join our elite cardiology team. This team supports our ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship and provides exceptional clinical care to our patients.

CAMC features a high-volume, state-of-the-art cardiology program supported by:

1. Eight catheterization labs
2. Three dedicated vascular interventional labs
3. Three electrophysiology (EP) labs

The educational responsibilities include supervision and training of cardiovascular disease fellows, internal medicine residents, and other learners, with expectations for scholarly activity during dedicated academic time. Clinically, the role involves inpatient and outpatient care, with an emphasis on developing a regional referral base.

The ideal candidate has a passion for patient care and teaching, with potential for leadership roles such as Associate Program Director, especially for experienced candidates.

Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD/DO) with eligibility for a West Virginia medical license and DEA registration
• Board eligible or certified in cardiology
• Ability to obtain full, unrestricted hospital privileges at Charleston Area Medical Center
• Demonstrated commitment to medical education as an attending or resident/fellow
