Job summary

Atrium Health Specialty Network, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour week in Concord, North Carolina. The role requires rooming patients, taking vital signs, medical history, and assisting with procedures under the supervision of clinicians.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived testing, along with vaccines administration and patient education. Compliance with policies and a strong patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop rapport with patients, families and staff.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs, medical history, and health maintenance data.
• Assist providers with procedures and manage lab duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Perform POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders and ensure accurate results.
• Administer medications and vaccines following proper medication administration rights.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals and patient messaging; maintain a clean, stocked work area and equipment.
