Job summary

400 Wake Forest University Health Sciences seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a Cardiology practice at Elkin Johnson Ridge Medical Park. You will prepare patients, record vitals, collect information, and assist clinicians with procedures under supervision.

The role is full-time (40 hrs/week), Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; BLS, CMA/CCMA/NHA/RMA or equivalent certification required. Prior experience and strong interpersonal skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam by recording vital signs and updating health information.
• Assist clinicians with procedures and patient care within scope.
• Perform laboratory procedures using sterile technique.
• Administer routine medications under physician/APP orders or standing protocols.
• Ensure smooth clinic flow and effective communication within the health care team.
