Job summary

BayCare Health System in Largo is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to support cardiology clinical operations. Day shift, full-time, onsite at Bardmoor Outpatient & Surgery Center, with responsibilities across patient intake, examinations, and routine labs. Onsite only; OSHA/CLIA compliance emphasized.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and certification or license in MA, EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, or LPN. Prefer MA program completion and prior MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Obtain patient histories and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform routine lab procedures and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow up on test orders and communicate results to providers and patients.
• Maintain patient education materials.
• Create and update patient records in the EMR.
• Maintain medical equipment and clinical supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
