Job summary

Intermountain Health in Henderson, NV, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in an ambulatory cardiology setting. You will gather patient information and assist with visits to ensure high-quality care for acute and chronic conditions.

The role is PRN, 20–30 hours weekly, with 10-hour shifts and occasional travel to other cardiology locations. Requires MA program completion or relevant experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or at least 1 year MA experience, or an active RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician supervision and assist with patient information gathering.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
• Protect patient privacy and PHI and maintain confidentiality.
