Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification required or must obtain certification within specified timeframe OR pass alternative certification path.
• Strong ability to take patient histories and vital signs, and provide compassionate patient support.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are sterilized.
• Assist with injections, lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen referrals for the practice.
