Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology clinic at Lake Forest Hospital. The role supports physicians and nurses, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with a full-time 40-hour week in a busy outpatient setting. The position requires MA certification and BLS/CPR, and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification in one of the five eligible MA certifications or eligibility letter within six months.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• 0 to 2 years' experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations and setup of procedure trays.
• Disinfect and stock exam rooms following protocols; manage inventory.
• Interact with patients professionally to promote satisfaction and confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures common to the cardiology specialty as directed.
