Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Kernersville Cardiology clinic, assisting with patient preparation, vitals, and specimen collection in a fast-paced specialty setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS certification, and strong communication skills to support physicians and the care team. 40-hour weeks, with a 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule, benefits available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certification options CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA available through respective bodies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room the patient for exam, take vital signs, document health information.
• Perform basic lab procedures and specimen collection.
• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care tasks in clinic.
• Administer routine medications under supervision or standing orders.
• Communicate effectively with health care team to ensure smooth clinic flow.
