Job summary

UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced cardiology and vascular office. The role combines clinical and front-office responsibilities with a focus on delivering an excellent patient experience.

Training is available for the right candidate; MA experience is preferred but not required. Primary duties include rooming patients, assisting providers, performing chart prep, and handling calls and results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
• Experience as Medical Assistant preferred, but training available for right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist providers with clinical workflows.
• Support front office including check-in/check-out.
• Perform chart prep, return patient calls, communicate results.
• Maintain clinic flow and support team needs throughout the day.
