Job summary

Midwest Cardiovascular Institute (MCI) is seeking an Exercise Physiologist? Actually CMA role here. The Cardiovascular Medical Assistant will support nurses by collecting patient information, reviewing records, and coordinating tests and discharge within the EMR.

Strong communication, medical terminology knowledge and EHR skills are essential. Location is Hinsdale, IL with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and

Qualifications

Certification as a Medical Assistant in good standing required.
Knowledge and use of EHRs, Athena experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and reliability with clinical tasks.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams.

Responsibilities

Support the nursing team in collecting essential patient information (chief complaint, meds, allergies, vitals).
Assist in obtaining and reviewing medical records for provider visits.
Communicate concerns to nursing staff or provider promptly.
Under physician orders in the EMR, schedule tests, labs, ECGs and assist discharge.
