Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking a cardiology night shift registered nurse (RN) to support after-hours care with the cardiology team, assist with patient rounds, and organize critical data for rapid access.

The role requires an active Alabama RN license, ACLS/BLS/CPR certifications, and at least three years as an RN including cardiology experience. You will document in EMR, triage after-hours calls, and educate patients and families about heart health.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Three years' RN experience with at least one year in cardiology.
Current state RN license required.
ACLS, BLS, CPR, and ECG certifications required.
Strong communication and critical thinking in emergencies.

Responsibilities

Assist cardiologist with rounds and organize patient data for quick access.
Answer after-hours calls/pages from hospital staff related to cardiology needs.
Monitor patients' vital signs during night and weekend shifts.
Accurately document patient information in the EMR to ensure quality care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and protect information from unauthorized access.
Follow orders and update physicians on changes as needed.
Provide hand-off reports and coordinate post-visit or transfer timing as requested.
