Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe to partner with providers in a fast-paced cardiology environment. You will support patient visits, perform scribe duties, assist with treatments, and conduct specialized cardiac testing, including treadmill tests and stress studies, while maintaining high-quality patient care.

You will also manage communications, scheduling, and follow-ups, ensuring infection control and a safe clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Completion of Medical Scribe training required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and support efficient patient flow.
• Perform advanced noninvasive cardiac procedures including treadmill tests, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, and Holter/event monitor application.
• Manage calls, document communications, coordinate test results and follow-up.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean clinical environment with infection control standards.
• Communicate effectively with providers and care team members.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet goals and quality metrics.
• Mentor new team members and uphold CARES values: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Engagement, Service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care.
