Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Medical Assistant with scribe training to join our fast-paced cardiology team. You will support patient visits, perform scribe duties, assist with tests and procedures, and help coordinate care in a busy cardiac clinic.

The role requires MA experience, scribe training, and strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms. You will contribute to patient flow, scheduling, and administrative tasks while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Completion of Medical Scribe training required.
• Minimum one year of cardiac medicine experience required.
• Minimum three years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and cardiovascular patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with providers to deliver exceptional patient care and support efficient patient flow.
• Perform advanced noninvasive cardiac procedures such as treadmill tests, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, and Holter/event monitor applications.
• Support patients through their care journey by managing calls, documenting communications, and coordinating test results.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative functions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked clinical environment while complying with infection prevention standards.
• Communicate effectively with care teams to support high-quality outcomes and patient experience.
• Mentor new team members and model CARES values.
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and clinic success.
