Route 66 Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center in Albuquerque, NM seeks a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Cardiologist to establish and grow a Cardiology service within a 24/7 emergency hospital.

You will shape workflows, equipment purchases, scheduling, and clinical focus areas while collaborating with Emergency Medicine and other specialties. Ethos Veterinary Health provides mentorship, CE, and broader specialty collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or residency-trained in Cardiology with eligibility for licensure in New Mexico/region.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with a focus on advancing cardiac care.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for developing a specialty service.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop Route 66's Cardiology service.
• Build a diverse cardiology caseload within a 24/7 emergency hospital.
• Perform advanced cardiac diagnostics and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Shape equipment purchases, workflows, scheduling, and future service development.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and other specialties.
• Build relationships with referring veterinarians in the region.
• Engage in mentorship, continuing education, and clinical research through Ethos network.
