LOCUMS Interventional Cardiologist Palm Springs CA

Routinely take 1-2 weeks of call per month ongoing for the next few months.

Requirements:

• Clean malpractice history.
• Board Certified and CA licensed, CA Fluoroscopy license.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID.

Medical Staff privileges require a certain number of cases over the past two years.

CORE

The privileges are considered core for physicians with appropriate subspecialty training, including treatment of all illnesses within the subspecialty.

Needed

Responsibilities include:

• Admission of patients, performing history and physical examinations, management within the broad field of Internal Medicine.
• Interpretation of non-invasive, diagnostic cardiac and peripheral vascular testing.
• Procedures such as Cardioversion, Temporary Intravenous device placement (pacemaker, Swan-Ganz, etc.), Arterial line placement.

Required experience for initial privileging:

• Performance of at least 100 cardiology procedures during the past two years.

Special Procedures Needed

• Invasive, Non-Interventional Cardiology: 200 procedures
• Interventional Cardiology: 100 procedures
• Permanent Pacemaker Implantation: 15 procedures
• Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE): 25 procedures

Call Expectations

• Response time: 30 minutes for STEMI cases.
• Call ratio: Ideally 7-14 days per month.
• Phone consults: 3-9 per day.
• Patients seen: 1-5 per day.
