Job summary

Dane Street seeks physicians to serve as Reviewer/Advisor, applying clinical expertise to review insurance appeals, prospective and retrospective claims. You will interpret medical necessity for services according to client criteria and evidence-based guidelines.

You will review records, justify decisions with documentation, and reference current guidelines to support rationales. This role requires active practice and board certification, with flexible, advisory-only responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Board certification in a recognized medical specialty and current licensure.
• Experience with independent medical exams and utilization reviews is preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based guidelines and medical necessity criteria.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and answer client questions using criteria and guidelines.
• Ensure clear, concise rationales with supporting documentation.
• Identify and reference national/state guidelines and literature to justify decisions.
• Provide copies of criteria used in reviews with reports.
• Meet due dates and times for case reviews.
• Maintain credentialing and state licenses as required.
