Job summary

Dane Street, LLC is seeking a Physician Reviewer/Advisor for Independent Medical Exams to leverage clinical expertise in evaluating medical necessity and insurance appeals. You will review records, apply client criteria and guidelines, and provide concise rationales with supporting documentation.

The role requires board certification and active practice. You will ensure timely case completion, maintain credentials, and participate in orientation and ongoing training as part of a rigorous quality

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician in a medical specialty
• Active medical license for the applicable state
• Strong clinical background with evidence-based decision making
• Proven ability to interpret medical necessity criteria
• Experience reviewing insurance appeals and IME cases
• Familiarity with credentialing and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and answer client-specific questions using criteria and guidelines
• Articulate clear, concise rationales with supporting documentation
• Reference national and state guidelines and peer-reviewed literature
• Provide copies of the criteria used in reviews with reports
• Adhere to due dates and maintain timely case return
• Maintain required credentials and licenses; participate in orientation and training
• Perform other duties related to quality assurance, audits, or legal proceedings
