Job summary

Dane Street, LLC is seeking a Physician Reviewer/Advisor for Independent Medical Exams (IME). You will use clinical expertise to review insurance appeals and prospective/retrospective claims, interpreting medical necessity in line with client policies, guidelines, and standards of care.

The role emphasizes advisory opinions only, with no patient care provided. It offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to enhance expertise in utilization review and medical-necessity determinations.

Qualifications

• Board-certified with active practice requirement
• Experience in reviewing insurance appeals and utilization reviews
• Knowledge of nationally recognized guidelines and standards of care
• Ability to provide clear, well-documented rationales

Responsibilities

• Reviews all medical records and addresses client questions using criteria
• Ensures rationale is clear, concise, and well-documented
• Identifies and applies current criteria and literature to support decisions
• Returns cases on or before due date and time
• Maintains credentialing, licenses, and any certifications
• Performs other duties including QA, regulatory issues, or audits
• Board certification required, active practice required
