MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a well-established, nationally ranked heart and vascular practice located in Columbia, South Carolina. Join a team of 25 cardiologists, 2 cardiothoracic surgeons, 2 vascular surgeons, and 24 APPs to provide advanced treatment and personalized care to patients in Columbia, SC, and surrounding communities.

About the position:

• Join a well-respected Heart & Vascular practice with a 40-year history in the community.
• Provide advanced heart failure patient care services through consultative and inpatient cardiac services, including patient admissions under the Advanced Heart Failure/LVAD service, and outpatient care in our Heart Failure Outpatient Center.
• Independently provide advanced heart failure care, including management of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs).
• Participate in specialized clinics such as Amyloid Cardiomyopathy, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Palliative Cardiology, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
• Support initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes using innovative programs and new technologies, including virtual healthcare and clinical trials.
• Call shared with existing AHF Cardiologists, supported by cardiologists, with weekly alternating shock call in the CVICU.
• Opportunity to maintain transplant and LVAD inpatient care credentials at MUSC Charleston for up to two weeks annually.
• Genetic counseling services available.
• Access to advanced imaging and electrophysiology equipment, including cardiac CT, MRI, 3D Echo, PET, SPECT, and cath labs.
