Virginia Heart in Fairfax, VA is hiring a Front Desk Medical Receptionist for a full-time position. You will provide daily administrative and customer service support in a busy cardiology practice, greeting patients, handling phones, scheduling, and EMR data entry.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and one year of receptionist experience, with EMR familiarity and strong customer service skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with competitive benefits and no night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a receptionist in a fast-paced environment.
• Medical office experience in a multi-provider office preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Computer proficient with good typing skills and EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong communication and pleasant phone manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and telephone support.
• Register patients in the EMR system and verify/update demographics.
• Collect co-payments, generate receipts, and post payments.
• Sort and distribute mail; maintain reception area clean and presentable.
• Identify accepted insurance plans and check eligibility as needed.
• Prepare daily charts and ensure documentation is ready for patient flow.
• Schedule appointments by phone or in person; protect patient privacy per HIPAA.
