Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a skilled cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology for a locum tenens opportunity near Atlanta, Georgia. Qualifications

  • Board Certified with an active Georgia license required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 4-5 procedures daily and manage patient consults effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with inpatient APPs and cardiology fellows.

Job description

Locum Tenens Cardiology Electrophysiology Opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia

Location: An hour outside Atlanta, Georgia.

Duration: February/March through Summer 2025, with an opportunity to renew.

Schedule: Full-time, split between two providers, 2-4 weeks per month.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 am - 5 pm; 8-hour days with flexibility to stay if needed to complete procedures, 5 days per week.

Call: To be determined.

Patient Volume: 4-5 procedures daily in each lab, 5-6 consults daily, 10-12 on the rounding service.

Scope: Electrophysiology, 100% inpatient only.

Required Procedures/Cases: Device implants including ICD, CRT, and Micra devices; complex cardiac catheter ablations including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.

EMR: Epic.

Hospital: 613 beds, Level I Trauma Center.

Group/Support: Inpatient APPs, Cardiology Fellows, Anesthesia support, local providers admitting patients.

Requirements (Boards, License): Board Certified, Active Georgia License.
