Job summary

Eisenhower Health is seeking an experienced ECG technician to perform electrocardiography across diverse patient populations within the Cardiology department. You will communicate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate results and proper workflow.

The role requires an EKG class, BLS certification, and preferred Cardiovascular/Medical Assistant training. This part-time position covers varied shifts and supports patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Required: EKG class
• Preferred: Cardiovascular or Medical Assistant program
• Required: American Heart Association BLS

Responsibilities

• Obtain artifact-free electrocardiography.
• Perform adequate holter monitors.
• Perform EKGs in codes or cardioversion.
• Prepare the patient room and equipment for the electrocardiography.
• Prepares the patient according to the test being performed and confirm the status of skin allergies with patients.
• Documents and processes procedures on a daily basis in the database.
• Processes billing charges or credits on a daily basis.
• Maintains clean, well-stocked equipment with supplies and “in good working order” after each shift.
• Reports any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to Bio-med and takes the necessary step in processing reported equipment.
• Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and or significant others concerning electrocardiography.
