Qualifications

• Education: EKG class required; preferred cardiovascular or medical assistant program.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS required per American Heart Association.
• Experience: healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains artifact-free electrocardiography.
• Performs adequate holter monitors.
• Performs EKGs in codes or cardioversion.
• Prepares the patient room and equipment for electrocardiography.
• Documents and processes procedures in the database.
• Processes billing charges or credits daily.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in good working order.
