Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, Oregon, seeks an EKG Technician in our Cardiology department to perform 12-lead EKGs, place Holter monitors, and support diagnostic procedures.

You will work day shift Monday through Friday, document results in the EMR, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with physicians to ensure accurate, timely patient care.

This position requires BLS certification and a high school diploma, with preferred CET credentials to advance in cardiac testing workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred CET (Certified EKG Technician) through NHA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine 12-lead EKGs in various clinical settings (inpatients, outpatients, ER, surgery).
• Prepare patients and place electrodes for testing.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and data processing.
• Respond to emergency codes and monitor equipment functionality.
• Schedule Holter monitor procedures and coordinate follow-up care.
