Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Tech - Cardiology/EKG (FT Days) to perform ECGs, apply Holter monitors and support safe patient care.

The EKG Technician will handle patient records, scheduling, and equipment maintenance while upholding privacy and service excellence. Prior EKG experience is preferred; training is available. Join a team committed to exemplary patient care.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous EKG experience preferred, but will train.

Responsibilities

• Performs adult, pediatric, and neonatal 12-lead EKG.
• Manages general office duties relating to patient records, procedure charges, filing, scheduling, and charting.
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Adheres to patient privacy as stated in policy.
• Provides an environment conductive to safety for patients, visitors, and employees.
• The EKG Technician will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions.
• The EKG Technician will comply with appropriates and approved standards.
